On February 17, 2009 the State Fire Marshal approved a 15 point plan
for fire safety compliance of churches in Rhode Island, in existence
prior to January 1st, 2008. This plan takes into account some of the
unique factors churches face, as opposed to other assembly spaces, such
as auditoriums or restaurants.
At
Robinson Design, we have been assisting churches in meeting these
requirements, by holding seminars, walking through existing churches,
and handling fire-marshal coordination and fire-alarm design. We feel
this plan is a great way to affordably get some of our great churches
into compliance, and we have prepared some documents below to help.
