Expertise
We
at Robinson Design Inc. are architects and engineers that primarily
specialize in the design of buildings for the elderly and multi-family
housing. Our staff is lead by Mr. John Robinson, who is both
a
Registered Architect and a Registered Professional Engineer.
Over
the past thirty-five years he has designed more than 100 projects, ranging in size from $500,000 to $20,000,000.
In
order to provide our clients with appropriately designed facilities,
our work utilizes findings from architectural research. Mr.
Robinson has authored technical articles and presented instructional
seminars on Multi-Family Housing, the Design of Facilities for the
Elderly and Solar Energy.
Our
in-house design team has experience in all facets of architectural
design and engineering. Our out-of-office design team includes
specialists in civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering
and we have on-going relationships with special consultants in
interior design and historic preservation.
Achievements
Served as the plan review
consultant for the Rhode Island Department of Health, Division of
Facilities Regulations; and on "Elderly Injury
Review Committee"
Created
and worked with teams of Environmental Gerontologists in designing
model facilities for the elderly. Facilities designed by this
means have helped us to incorporate the most advanced and valuable
research based design features into our buildings.
A
member of the state-funded Gerontology Design Group, 1988 and 1989,
established to evaluation long-term care physical settings.
