	We at Robinson Design Inc. are architects and engineers that primarily specialize in the design of buildings for the elderly and multi-family housing. Our staff is lead by Mr. John Robinson, who is both a Registered Architect and a Registered Professional Engineer. Over the past twenty-five years he has designed more than 40 facilities for the elderly, ranging in size from $500,000 to $9,000,000. In order to provide our clients with appropriately designed facilities, our work utilizes findings from environmental research. Mr. Robinson has authored technical articles and presented instructional seminars on Multi-Family Housing and the Design of Facilities for the Elderly. Other Qualifications Include: Founding member of the American Institute of Architects Design for Aging Network, 1993 Served as the plan review consultant for the Rhode Island Department of Health, Division of Facilities Regulations. Past Member of the Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA), and a member of their Environmental Gerontology Network to implement properly designed Buildings for the Elderly. EDRA is an international scholastic organization dedicated to the advancement of research based design in Architecture and Urban Planning. Served as a member of the Rhode Island Department of Health "Elderly Injury Review Committee" to study the prevention of fall related injuries. A member of the state funded Gerontology Design Group, 1988 and 1989, established to evaluate long-term care physical settings. Created and worked with teams of Environmental Gerontologists in designing model facilities for the elderly. Facilities designed by this means has helped us to incorporate the most advanced and valuable research based design features into our buildings. Project design and drafting production capabilities are aided by computer design and drafting hardware and software. CADD capabilities include AutoCAD 2000, Studio AutoCAD 14, AutoCAD LT & AEC Solutions, Arch Soft and a high-resolution, large-format plotter.
